Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our General Merchandise and Fashion teams. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the coordination of task completion, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities to team members as needed.
  • Assess and improve the overall presentation of our General Merchandise and Fashion departments, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized shopping environment.
  • Delegate and follow up on daily Customer Availability Process tasks, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Support with scheduling and associate coverage, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  • Participate in the training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion associates, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous retail management experience.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
