About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at Skookum Scaffolding Ltd. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction and Repair: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Worksite Environment: Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license.
