Business Analyst/Project Coordinator to the Manager, Residential Care

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Business Analyst/Project Coordinator to support the Manager, Residential Care in the long-term care administration team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project coordination and analytical support to the Manager, Residential Care.
- Assume responsibility for operational daily staffing activities in the absence of the Manager.
- Liaise with Employee Engagement and other corporate/specialty areas to receive and convey information.
- Support the Manager on human resources, staffing, financial, and service-related issues.
- Provide thorough review and analysis of information, support budget planning and management, and prepare related reports.
- Occasionally provide guidance, supervision, and work direction to support staff.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' recent, related financial, human resource, and business/operational analysis and project planning experience in a large, complex service organization.
Knowledge & Experience
- Ability to lead initiatives and projects, motivate others, and share a vision for a respectful and motivating work environment.
- Strong analytical, research, and financial skills to support decision-making.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources principles and practices and relevant collective agreements.
- Advanced expertise in computer applications, including word processing, graphics presentation, and spreadsheet software.
- Results-oriented in a high-pressure working environment with numerous critical timelines.
- Effective communication and facilitation skills to work in a team setting and with various stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues, develop and analyze solutions, and resolve problems.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
