Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid, health counseling, medical referral services, and education to employees and contractors as required.
  • Manage medical programs, including conducting health examinations and screening programs for existing, new hire, and return-to-work employees.
  • Manage the health tracking system and maintain accurate and up-to-date data and reporting.
  • Lead and facilitate the medical aspects of WCB, Short-Term, Long-Term Case Management, Accommodation, and Disability Cases in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
  • Develop protocols, policies, and procedures as required.
  • Direct contract staff and manage the medical budget to maintain the Health Centre equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and/or OHN, RN, or LPN certification is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Case Management process for Occupational and Non-Occupational issues.
  • Ability to maintain records and produce reports related to patient statistics.
  • Passion and commitment for safety, with an expectation of self and others to demonstrate respect at all times.
  • Mindset emphasizing the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work effectively as a team member.
  • Organized and a leader in health and safety.
  • Competence in health tracking software and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
