The Opportunity
As a key member of the Wajax team, the Shop Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team of employees, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of employees to ensure the efficient operation of the shop.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal utilization and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of relevant leadership experience in a maintenance or operations role.
- Trade certification or Journeyman Red Seal with On/Off Highway Experience.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
