About the Role

Porta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our night operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance and implementation of food safety protocols during night shift operations.
  • Conduct daily GMP checks, quality control activities, and record review to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformities, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and support to night shift employees on food safety procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to food safety and quality assurance activities, and prepare reports for FS/QA leadership.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food regulations (Safe Food for Canadians Act, Food and Drugs Act).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and provide coverage as needed.
