The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position involves a proactive approach to implementing and upholding the Quality Assurance framework.
Key Responsibilities:• Support the Quality Assurance program aimed at delivering flawless solutions to our clients.
• Engage in hands-on activities to establish and sustain the Quality Assurance system.
• Participate in internal audits according to the audit schedule and assist with ISO 14001 re-certification audits.
• Collaborate on the company’s quality system to standardize all quality-related processes.
• Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEAs), Control Plans, and Forms including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Quality Assurance.
• Ensure compliance with company QA standards among all employees.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on operational excellence, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and product quality improvement.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Manage non-conforming materials and oversee the handling of rejected products.
• Track and report on Quality Loss metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Strive to minimize scrap levels and ensure readiness of all products as per Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Perform first-off and in-process checks, including final inspections at all stages of production.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products, ensuring traceability.
Qualifications:• A Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, though other disciplines will be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role.
• Proficient in developing, documenting, and executing Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures.
• Familiarity with AIAG Core tools such as PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, etc.
• Understanding of OEE and TPM metrics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train employees on quality standards.
• Availability for day shifts and occasional off-shift training sessions.
• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and Outlook.
