Position Overview

As a Vocational Training Specialist at WOODSTOCK CAREER COLLEGE, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aspiring trades professionals. Your expertise will guide students through their educational journey, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset, or equivalent experience may be accepted.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor students during practical work sessions.
  • Instruct students in hands-on shop activities.
  • Develop and organize educational materials and course outlines.
  • Administer assessments and evaluate student performance through tests and assignments.
  • Participate in faculty committees addressing budgetary, curriculum, staffing, and course requirements.
  • Utilize audio-visual tools to enhance learning experiences.
  • Conduct evaluations and reviews of courses and programs.
  • Provide advisory services to governmental bodies, businesses, and other organizations.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and presentations.
  • Facilitate and supervise laboratory experiments.

  • Conduct workshops tailored for trades students.
  • Employ various teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and practical field studies.
