Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Nova Scotia Limited.
Job Summary:The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
- Accounting Software: Maintain and update accounting software, including manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Reporting: Prepare and review various financial and accounting reports, including tax returns.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Language: Fluency in English.
