Accounts Receivable/Cost Analyst

Job Summary:

Multimatic Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - Accounts Receivable to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing on-going customer support and assisting the Controller in the assessment of company performance by studying and analyzing financial and operational data.

About the Role:

  • Administer all aspects of the Accounts Receivable function, including distribution of invoices, creation and entry of tooling-related invoices, application of cash receipts, follow-up with customers, communication of the status of past-due invoices, and preparation of monthly reports as required.
  • Responsible for the weekly and monthly variance analysis of Sales, production, and OH accounts, and updating of various logs.
  • Coordinate the monthly closing of all A/R sub-ledgers in the G/L.
  • Manage tooling inventory and costing.
  • Prepare and enter month-end journal entries.
  • Complete account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assist in reviewing the requisition log.
  • Assist in the preparation of the year-end audit package.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Responsible for archiving records/documents and maintaining an archive database relating to AR and Tooling.
  • Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager, including providing backup for other functions in the department and strengthening segregation of duties.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a college diploma in accounting.
  • Minimum of three years' accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel).
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Above-average analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
