About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Cloud Database team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure database solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Thought Leadership - Develop and maintain expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) database services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, and public-speaking events.
  2. Customer Engagement - Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Data teams to accelerate customer adoption and provide guidance on their customer engagements.
  3. Technical Liaison - Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS Database services teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
  4. Community Development - Develop and support an AWS internal community of Data related subject matter experts worldwide.
  5. Customer Advisor - Build prototypes, PoCs, and explore new solutions with customers and the academic community.

Requirements
  1. 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing distributed applications.
  2. 5+ years of experience managing technical, customer-facing resources.
  3. 5+ years of experience with Database.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
  2. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  3. Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  5. Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  6. AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
  7. Computer Science/relevant degree and/or experience highly desired.
