CCTV Inspection Technician

As a vital member of the Mainline Construction team, the CCTV Inspection Operator plays a crucial role in overseeing various project operations. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this position involves collaborating with work crews to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize a CCTV inspection vehicle to capture, record, and document the state and positioning of underground pipelines.
- Conduct pressure assessments, flushing, and disinfection of piping systems while demonstrating familiarity with water and sewer infrastructure, including valves and manholes.
- Lead and guide the efforts of a Locator who will assist in project-related tasks.
- Regularly compile and submit necessary reports and project documentation.
- Uphold and enforce established safety protocols.
- Strategically plan and implement projects independently, ensuring smooth operations.
- Coordinate with fellow operators and supervisors to align project activities.
- Maintain equipment in optimal working condition and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Execute pre and post-trip inspections along with routine maintenance tasks.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
- Stay informed about advancements in materials and techniques, demonstrating adaptability.
- Operate a range of hand and power tools associated with underground utilities, as well as various heavy construction machinery and materials.
- Ensure proper slinging techniques for pipes and manhole components, adhering to safe work practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- NASSCO PACP certification is mandatory.
- Valid Alberta Class 3 Operator's license with Q endorsement and a clean Driver's Abstract in accordance with company policy.
- Proficient in pipe inspection software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Self-driven with the capability to work independently when necessary.
- Strong teamwork abilities.
- Capacity to adapt and resolve issues as they arise.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for the role, contributing innovative ideas and engaging with colleagues.
