Electrical Engineer Opportunity at TriMac Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design teams to deliver high-quality electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and security systems.
  • Develop innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Manage and guide electrical projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring they are executed on time and within budget.
  • Travel to job sites to gather design data, take measurements, and inspect work performed by contractors.
  • Contribute positively to the day-to-day office environment and culture at TriMac Engineering.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in designing power systems up to 600V, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and other related systems for buildings.
  • Extensive experience in performing on-site services for construction inspections, condition assessments, equipment acceptance testing, and commissioning.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code of Canada, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and ability to lead electrical teams to success on multidisciplinary projects.
