About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Richards-Wilcox Canada. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly line operations and ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of assembly line workers to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect workplaces for safety and health hazards and ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
    • Check products for quality control and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish work schedules and oversee the implementation of production plans.
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Training and Development
    • Train or arrange for training of assembly line workers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit reports on production performance, quality control, and other relevant metrics.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of MS Excel and JD Edwards.
