About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist to join our team as a Quality Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of image quality, equipment performance, and radiation safety in our Diagnostic Imaging department.

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will work closely with our Diagnostic Medical Physics team to develop and implement quality control protocols, conduct regular equipment checks, and provide training to staff and students on imaging quality control and radiation safety procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in radiological technology and a passion for quality control and patient safety. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A graduate degree in radiological technology from an accredited institution
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant experience in a quality control or imaging quality assurance role
  • Advanced knowledge of imaging quality control, digital imaging techniques, and radiation safety
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to use time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. The successful candidate will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

The hourly rate for this position is $41.76.
