Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the educational needs and professional standards within clinical nursing to ensure that patient care is based on the latest evidence and best practices.
- Design and create educational resources and programs grounded in nursing and related disciplines.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives on patient outcomes.
- Provide training and resources to staff across all departments, ensuring comprehensive knowledge in patient care, equipment operation, and procedural tasks.
- Maintain and manage educational records and databases, generating reports as necessary.
- Deliver constructive feedback and guidance to nursing staff to enhance their professional performance.
- Identify the need for ongoing education based on emerging research and treatment methodologies.
- Serve as a clinical resource, offering consultation and support to the interdisciplinary care team.
- Select appropriate teaching strategies to effectively convey information.
- Exhibit strong clinical, educational, and leadership skills.
- Support the formulation, execution, and assessment of policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related health discipline.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support staff through transitions.
- Previous experience in an educational or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of psychiatric care principles, including person-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its implications for patient and staff rights.
- Ability to educate and mentor nursing staff in practice and skill enhancement.
- Proficiency in leading projects and initiatives effectively.
- Familiarity with adult learning theories and educational practices.
- In-depth knowledge of current nursing theories, research, and standards.
- Understanding of trends in mental health care.
- Competence in using clinical software and technology.
- Proficient in standard office software applications.
- Ability to operate all clinical equipment relevant to the units.
- English proficiency at A- level in all communication skills; bilingualism in French is an asset.
