About the Role

Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to join our team. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for performing a full-range of grounds maintenance services and landscaping for the grounds department. This work includes general groundskeeping services, various landscape construction projects, athletic field maintenance, event preparations, equipment maintenance, and irrigation repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general groundskeeping services, including mowing, pruning, and trimming of grass, shrubs, and trees.
  • Assist with various landscape construction projects, including planting, mulching, and installing irrigation systems.
  • Maintain athletic fields, including mowing, watering, and fertilizing.
  • Prepare grounds for events, including setting up seating, tables, and other equipment.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
  • Repair and maintain irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, and sprinklers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field. You will also need to have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
