Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at 2539752 Ontario Inc. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team members are working efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operations: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Recruitment: Hire food service staff and develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Indigenous People: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
