Position Overview

The Diversified Analog Solutions team is currently seeking a RF Application Engineer Co-Op for a university student. This position involves working closely with a Senior Application Engineer and is designed for those who can apply their engineering knowledge to various tasks related to WiFi and IoT device assessment, as well as customer board tuning and testing of products such as PA, LNA, switches, and FEM.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supporting the application engineering team with customer assistance initiatives.
  • Participating in testing activities for new integrated circuits and modules.
  • Conducting laboratory tests on RF circuits, presenting findings, and engaging in customer schematic/layout reviews.
  • Completing smaller projects and assignments that vary in complexity, including device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Understanding of fundamental electronic circuits and principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and capable of quickly learning additional software tools.
  • Familiarity with RF parameters such as insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, and NF is advantageous.
  • Experience with testing equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills, with a willingness to engage in hands-on laboratory work.
