About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Mechanic Helper to join our team at Specialty Pump & Power Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist tradespersons and technicians with routine maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
  • Task Support: Provide support to tradespersons and technicians with tasks such as moving equipment, signaling safety procedures, and cleaning work areas.
  • Area of Work Experience: Assist with maintenance and repair tasks in various areas, including heavy equipment, machinery, and equipment maintenance.
  • Area of Specialization: Develop skills and knowledge in heavy equipment operations, maintenance, and repair.
  • Security and Safety: Participate in security and safety protocols, including criminal record checks and driving record checks.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and handling heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move equipment weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organization, reliability, and teamwork.

Work Environment
