Position Overview

In the role of a pivotal contributor within the loyalty program division, the selected candidate will be instrumental in the establishment of this new organizational structure, ensuring that financial and accounting elements are executed and managed effectively and strategically. The primary responsibility will involve setting up and overseeing the tracking of expenses and financial metrics associated with loyalty program operations. Acting as a strategic ally to the management team, the incumbent will leverage their expertise to develop the financial framework, establish financial objectives, and monitor essential performance indicators, delivering valuable insights in a data-driven decision-making environment.
  • Take a leading role in the design, development, and execution of a contemporary airline loyalty program along with its financial systems and processes, providing insightful information on all aspects related to accounting, planning, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure accountability for the generation of all financial data for the division, catering to both statutory requirements and the diverse needs of management.
  • Facilitate monthly financial assessments, scrutinize discrepancies against anticipated outcomes, and uphold a framework to guarantee the accuracy of information.
  • Disseminate performance insights regarding loyalty operations, proactively engaging with sector managers to propose recommendations aimed at achieving targets and enhancing value.
  • As a consultant in financial modeling and analysis, create and refine opportunity analysis models to empower senior management and executive leaders in making informed decisions regarding the financial performance, operations, and costs of the loyalty program.
  • Oversee the budget preparation process and updates to financial forecasts.
  • Manage operational agreements and processes in collaboration with revenue management and pricing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling within the context of airline loyalty programs and management of co-branded credit card initiatives.
  • Ability to cultivate strong, collaborative relationships across the organization and communicate results consistently and promptly to senior management.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (such as Power BI) is preferred.
  • Strong capability to synthesize and understand organizational challenges.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a complex and ever-evolving environment.
