Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the gathering and documentation of business requirements needed to implement IT infrastructure, cloud, and other strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Requirements Gathering: Lead site strategic implementation sessions with clinical/operational/business leadership committees, and design and deploy strategic project implementation approaches with programs and departments.
  • Workflow Analysis: Validate and document current state and future state workflows for specific IT use cases with engaged programs/departments.
  • Policy and Process Updates: Identify and facilitate any updates required to existing policies, guidelines, and processes that impact the use of changing technologies.
  • Change Management: Support the development of change management tactics, mobile application toolkits, instructions, and training materials.
  • Business Case Development: Develop or assist in the development of design documents, requirements analysis, testing plans, test cases, use cases, process flows, procedures, and policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with health authorities and technical teams from multiple organizations, including IMITS, Vendors, and VPP.
  • Project Delivery: Support the retirement of sunsetting technologies with many aspects of project delivery, including planning, risk management, deliverables, communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst for large complex IT projects, and 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities.
  • Skills: Superior analytical skills, including the ability to comprehend, analyze, and resolve complex issues and present information in concise meaningful ways.
  • Education: A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Clinical Informatics, or related discipline, plus a minimum of five (5) years recent related experience in health care or information management.
  • Certifications: Certified Business Analyst (CPC) designation (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience with PHSA, VCH, and/or PHC, and strong working relationships with HA stakeholders and IMIT departments.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks with constantly changing requirements.
