About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Printer Operator to join our team at Big Country Graphics & Printing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our printing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our printing machines.
  • Machine Setup and Repair: Set up and make adjustments to printing machines, and repair and maintain equipment as needed.
  • Quality Control: Review work orders to determine job specifications, and operate and monitor printing machines during print runs to ensure high-quality output.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support to the production team, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Quick print company, in-house print shop, or commercial printers.
  • Level of Expertise: Maintenance and repair of printing equipment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically Demanding: The role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail required to ensure quality output.
  • Tight Deadlines: Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet production targets.
