Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at ProViso Staffing. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for extracting key information from documents using a combination of business rules, text analytics, programming, and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting business requirements and process flows and documenting them in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Extraction of key information from documents using a combination of business rules, text analytics, programming, and machine learning.
  • Participating in daily stand-ups and effectively communicating updates and requirements for responsibilities within the project.
  • Presenting progress and executing small demos.
  • Demonstrating high attention to detail when reviewing code.
  • Participating in an agile work environment.
  • Assisting in the planning stages of the project and participating in building the proof of concept.
  • Actively working to improve the current extraction capabilities of the system.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Data Scientist (Data Analyst and Data Engineer).
  • 3+ years' experience with Python.
  • Previous experience working with machine learning software (GCP or PyTorch or transformers or other).
Preferred Skills
  • NLP (Natural Language Processing) an asset.
  • Experience with GCP an asset.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrates proactiveness when addressing issues.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
