Teaching Opportunity in Criminology

The Department of Criminology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at Douglas College is seeking a contract instructor to teach a variety of courses in the Criminology program. The successful applicant will be qualified to teach courses such as Crime and Intelligence Analysis, Introduction to Policing, and Introduction to the Criminal Justice System.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students and facilitate learning in College courses.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide academic advice to learners.
  • Plan, organize, and manage learning activities and resources.

Requirements:

  • MA in Criminology or a related discipline from a Canadian university.
  • PhD in Criminology or a related discipline from a Canadian university (preferred).
  • Extensive work-related experience in the Criminal Justice field (preferred).
  • Excellent teaching skills and experience in teaching undergraduate courses.
