Position Overview

Acre Post Production is seeking a dedicated Film Editor to enhance our video production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every project aligns with the director's vision.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in film editing.
Work Environment

This role is primarily focused on video production and offers the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation and presentation of performances.
  • Organize film segments into coherent sequences to ensure continuity and achieve desired effects.
  • Manage production schedules effectively.
  • Edit motion picture films in accordance with the director's artistic vision.
  • Ensure that all project details adhere to the original intent.
  • Evaluate the project's success post-release.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the artistic components of production.
  • Make decisions regarding lighting, camera angles, lenses, and backgrounds.
Production Experience

The candidate should have credits in over 20 productions, with a focus on both preproduction and postproduction direction.
