Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Retail Operations Supervisor to oversee our retail business at Cabot Building Supplies Co (1988) Ltd. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment of 40 to 45 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
Work Environment

The role is set within a dynamic retail environment, focusing on building materials (excluding lumber).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign duties to sales staff and manage their daily activities.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members.
  • Manage inventory and order merchandise as needed.
  • Authorize merchandise returns and handle customer inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules for staff.
  • Sell products and resolve any issues, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 employees, including cashiers and retail sales personnel.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in MS Outlook is required.
