Role Overview
In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting Strategic Supplier Sourcing at Coast Capital, ensuring that third-party goods and services are in alignment with the organization’s business objectives. You will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on strategic sourcing activities while providing insightful recommendations. Your expertise will guide the department in achieving productivity, quality, and team morale goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advocate for processes related to quality assurance, financial oversight, and sourcing performance management.
- Develop and present departmental metrics reporting and tableau dashboards.
- Manage and maintain centralized data repositories.
- Support initiatives related to social and inclusive procurement, including supplier diversity.
- Conduct financial analyses, costing scenarios, competitive bid evaluations, and internal continuous improvement initiative assessments.
- Create reports and statistics to measure commodities and/or savings.
- Oversee compliance reporting for all sourcing activities, including executive-level dashboards.
- Facilitate the review of policies and procedures related to strategic supplier sourcing and corporate real estate.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a comparable role.
- In-depth knowledge of the provincial and national marketplace for goods/services typically required by the Credit Union.
- Strong analytical skills and focus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of budgeting and accounting practices.
- Expertise in local procurement, competitive bidding, and contract law.
- Strong capabilities in procurement, vendor management reporting, and the development of metrics and dashboards.
- Ability to present, persuade, and influence at a senior management level to facilitate innovative sourcing solutions.
- Proven ability to build and maintain internal client relationships.
- High standards of business integrity and sound judgment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
