Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Lead Coordinator to become part of the North Shore Staffing Office team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient staffing operations.
As a Lead Coordinator in Regional Scheduling & Timekeeping, your responsibilities will include:
Managing staffing functions for a program, which includes preparing and modifying staff schedules, allocating relief personnel, and utilizing an electronic system to address vacancies, absences, and sick leaves in compliance with the relevant collective agreement. You will also handle vacation requests and respond to inquiries from staff regarding their vacation balances and related matters. Offering direction, support, and training to designated team members.Qualifications
Education & Experience
Completion of Grade 12, with five (5) years of recent, relevant experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in effective verbal and written communication. Ability to interact positively with others. Physical capability to perform the duties associated with the position. Competence in supervising staff. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate relevant equipment.Additional Information
Work hours, including days off and work location, may be adjusted based on operational needs and the provisions of the Collective Agreement and applicable regulations. Successful candidates may need to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
