The Municipality of North Cowichan is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aquatic Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic services team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for the public, while delivering high-quality educational programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement aquatic programs and services that meet the needs of our community
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons
- Collaborate with our aquatic services team to deliver high-quality programs and services
- Maintain certifications and qualifications required for the position, including National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications
- Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- Minimum 16 years of age and completion of Grade 10
- Possession and maintenance of National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications
- Demonstrable skills in a Windows-driven network system, including Microsoft Office programs and program registration and facility booking software
- Demonstrable theory, practical skills, and abilities related to water rescue, safety, prevention, program content, delivery, and communication
- Basic knowledge of and commitment to WorkSafeBC, Ministry of Health, and BC Safety Authority procedures and other regulatory requirements
