Position Title: Senior Project Geologist

Role Overview:

  • Oversee the unconventional resource portfolio through comprehensive technical evaluations.
  • Assess risks and resources associated with unconventional geological formations.
  • Collaborate with reservoir engineering teams to integrate geological insights.
  • Analyze well performance metrics and optimize drilling strategies.
  • Assist in the planning and execution phases of drilling operations.
  • Conduct in-depth geological assessments to support project goals.
  • Ensure that the most promising geological plays are thoroughly evaluated and targets are achieved.
  • Deliver clear and effective communication through detailed presentations and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of industry experience, with 5-10 years focused on unconventional resources.
  • Proven expertise in evaluating tight sand and shale formations.
  • Experience utilizing a play-based methodology for resource assessment.
  • Strong capability in conducting risk assessments and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mitigating portfolio risks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
