Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Sherwood Electromotion Inc. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services to meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase General and Specialized Equipment, Materials, or Business Services: Identify and source suppliers to meet the needs of our organization, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Assess Requirements and Develop Specifications: Work with cross-functional teams to assess requirements and develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Negotiate Offers and Award Contracts: Negotiate offers from suppliers and award contracts to the most suitable parties, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor Progress and Resolve Issues: Monitor the progress of delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Membership in the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada.
