We are currently developing a SaaS platform in collaboration with The College Board, which plays a crucial role in the educational journey of over three million AP and Pre-AP students worldwide. This digital assessment platform is designed to deepen student engagement while enriching the instructional experience for educators. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to enhance developer productivity and provide infrastructure support to various engineering teams.
- Establish repeatable processes for provisioning and scaling AWS-based infrastructure to accommodate a SaaS application with fluctuating usage patterns.
- Analyze cloud expenditure and pinpoint potential savings.
- Offer operational support for SaaS products and their underlying infrastructure, including on-call responsibilities.
- Implement observability strategies to enhance site reliability.
- Comply with our Security Operations policies and continuously seek ways to advance our SecOps best practices.
- Identify enhancements to our automated CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
- Familiarity with Cloud Native technologies, Containerization (Docker), and Container Orchestration (ECS or EKS).
- Hands-on experience with scripting and Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience in building and deploying cloud applications in production environments while ensuring availability and scalability using industry best practices.
- Proficient in configuring and managing various AWS services such as VPC, EC2, Lambda, Security Groups, IAM, S3, SQS, RDS, Aurora, and Redshift; not all are mandatory.
- Linux and Windows administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Utilization of APM and Log Management solutions for monitoring application health and performance; familiarity with Grafana and the LGTM stack is advantageous.
- Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
