Job Overview:

The role of the **Senior Specialist Cyber PMO** involves providing strategic and operational support to the Manager of Strategic Transformation and the Chief Information Security Office (CISO). The primary focus is to establish and uphold a comprehensive cyber program that ensures robust protection for the organization.

This position requires leadership and guidance in the execution of cyber initiatives, emphasizing the design, integration, and implementation of cyber solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals.

Collaboration with various organizational segments is essential to effectively manage city-wide cyber initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of cyber projects, developing and managing deliverables such as gate processes, status reports, and risk management frameworks.
  • Enhance project methodologies, standards, and guidelines while continuously evaluating projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Lead Quality Assurance efforts to guarantee the highest quality deliverables and compliance with established cyber PMO standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the methodology for cyber project delivery.
  • Assist in the division's financial reporting and monitor project expenses and financial performance, reporting on any variances.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in large project and program management within government or large private sector organizations.
  • Extensive experience in managing cyber project deliveries.
  • Proficient in traditional and innovative project management methodologies, including agile and waterfall approaches.
  • Demonstrated excellence in governance, project definition, planning, management, financial oversight, and project closure.
  • Experience with GRC solutions is advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • PMP certification is required; CISSP certification is a plus.

Additional Information:

This position may require extended hours in response to unforeseen situations, including cyber incidents or breaches. Regular police checks and background assessments will be conducted due to the sensitive nature of the information handled.
