Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead system implementation and design for Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and other key data platforms to ensure system design meets business requirements.
  • Support the design and build of scalable and reliable data infrastructure, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines to improve company data product delivery, analytics, and data science teams using cloud and big data technologies.
  • Deliver data platform management and administration, in alignment with the organization's strategic goals, to manage, govern, and integrate data within government.
  • Configure and tune cloud-based tools to manage cost, security, and compliance for the environments.
  • Provide services to support data privacy and security in adherence to enterprise policies.
  • Collaborate with other Team members to improve and optimize Cloud and On-premises Infrastructure systems in non-functional perspective: scalability, reliability, performance, capacity, availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Contribute to defining and establishing an Enterprise Data Strategy in GoA and be actively involved in the design of modern data platform features and functionalities, improving scalability and maintainability.
  • Support projects to address the implementation of data product delivery components of the Data Strategy.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science
  • 4 years of experience with: Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Purview, & OS Platforms

Required to travel between Edmonton & Calgary. Pay Range: $77.00-$96.00 per hour.
