Position Overview

As a Meat Processing Specialist at APNA SPICE AND GROCERIES, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to providing fresh and high-quality offerings to our customers.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
Work Environment

You will be working in a cold/refrigerated environment, primarily within a meat processing and packing establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meats for processing by cleaning and cutting
  • Execute standard cuts of meat, ensuring precision and quality
  • Package and wrap prepared meats for sale
  • Weigh and grind meats as required
  • Create special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Handle the slaughtering of livestock and manage the removal of inedible parts
  • Prepare special orders according to customer specifications
  • Cut carcasses into primal cuts for further processing
Safety and Security

A criminal record check is required to ensure the safety and security of our operations.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Weight Handling

Must be capable of handling weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
