Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Sylvan Learning Centre.

Job Summary:

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and be able to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver mathematics lessons to students
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Provide individualized support to students who require extra help
  • Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive education
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
  • Basic security clearance
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Criminal record check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching mathematics to students of various ages and skill levels
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
