Senior Financial Accountant Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee a range of critical financial functions. The following outlines the primary responsibilities associated with this position:
- Manage and execute capital call preparations, assist with cash flow assessments, record and reconcile project capital, and conduct bank reconciliations.
- Facilitate monthly financial reporting to executive management and external stakeholders in accordance with IFRS and ASPE standards.
- Conduct calculations, reconciliations, and revenue recording for individual projects.
- Assist in the year-end audit procedures for various initiatives.
- Maintain the general ledger, job cost reports, and other essential financial documentation.
- Prepare monthly construction draw packages and evaluate expenses against the established budget.
- Ensure timely month-end closure and precise transaction recording.
- Adhere to internal control measures and support compliance reporting efforts.
- Provide assistance to team members and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the real estate sector.
- Progress towards or completion of CPA designation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards is advantageous.
- Strong abilities in task prioritization and multitasking.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
