About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Numinous Creations Inc. as a key member of our construction operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate various vehicles and equipment on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist Skilled Tradespersons: Provide support to skilled tradespersons, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Install Safety Devices: Install, test, and adjust safety control devices to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Support Newcomers and Refugees: Assist in the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and develop relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Implement hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, ensuring a welcoming work environment for all employees.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on teamwork, safety, and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: English or French language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
