Position Overview:

As a Site Acquisition Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the acquisition of land for telecommunication projects. This includes conducting thorough Land Title searches, engaging with landowners, and coordinating zoning and leasing activities for both new site developments and modifications to existing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main liaison with landowners for various projects, overseeing lease negotiations and civil coordination.
  • Analyze local land use regulations to ensure compliance with municipal and permitting requirements.
  • Provide detailed site-specific insights and recommendations regarding leasing and land use viability to Project Managers.
  • Identify potential sites and negotiate Real Estate agreements for the establishment of diverse telecommunication facilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence and property research, including title and registration searches, deed evaluations, and zoning assessments.
  • Negotiate telecommunication agreements, including leases and licenses, with both public and private property owners.
  • Coordinate and participate in site visits to assess candidate viability.
  • Represent the interests of Scott Land and its clients in community and stakeholder engagements.
  • Prepare leasing request documentation and ensure the accuracy and quality of all leasing packages.
  • Maintain accurate project updates, timelines, and reports to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Compile and organize knowledge of local land use, development, and building permitting processes.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in real estate, sales, land agency, or site acquisition.
  • Strong negotiation skills in land and real estate transactions are advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn additional software such as Google Earth and ArcGIS.
  • Valid Driver's license is required, with some travel for site assessments and meetings.
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Possession of a Real Estate License is considered an asset.
