Key Responsibilities in Patient-Centered Care
The Pharmacist is tasked with ensuring safe, effective, and suitable drug therapy while fostering an environment that encourages employee and customer engagement. This role is pivotal in driving departmental excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, and operational efficiencies.

  • Emphasize clinical services such as medication reviews and disease management
  • Develop, implement, and document care plans
  • Administer vaccinations
  • Assess the appropriateness of drug therapies
  • Monitor adherence to medication regimens
  • Gather and record pertinent patient, medication, and health information
  • Advise on over-the-counter products and dietary supplements
  • Respond to patient inquiries requiring therapeutic expertise and clinical judgment
  • Oversee pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists in performing restricted tasks
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed
Essential Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and capable of independent work
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Qualifications
  • Current licensure and good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Authorization to administer medications via injection is essential
  • OAT certification is advantageous
  • Experience with Kroll software is preferred
