About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Point West Living Heritage House. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, focusing on geriatric and palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Care: Administer medications, monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
  • Assess and Plan Care: Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document patient information, progress, and care plans in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in geriatric and palliative care.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
