Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-destructive testing safely and accurately, while documenting findings.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment, ensuring precise record-keeping.
- Execute tests using the appropriate NDT techniques and standard operating procedures.
- Interpret and evaluate test results, documenting them accurately.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the limitations and scope of certified methods.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and contractual documents governing the methods employed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Skillfully gather and analyze information.
- Effectively present numerical data.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Branch lead.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification in NDT methods (Level II MT/PT/ Level I UT/CEDO) from CGSB.
- Additional certifications such as RT Level II, UT Level II, CWB Level I or II, and API 653 are advantageous.
- Technical expertise in NDT methods and procedures, along with knowledge of NDT equipment.
- Proven ability to perform assigned NDT tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate reporting.
- Strong work ethic and dedication to safety.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Commitment to safety culture and quality awareness.
- Physical capability to perform work at heights and in confined spaces.
