Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Best Truck Service & Automotive (Peace River) Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Repair and Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
  • Parts and Labour Estimation: Accurately estimate costs for repairs and maintenance to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Customer Communication: Provide clear and concise explanations of work performed and future repair requirements to our customers.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including problem identification and resolution.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair and maintenance.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant trade certifications, such as Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
