Job Title: Assistant Professor of Immunology

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Immunology in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead a research program in innate or adaptive immunity in the context of health or disease. They will be expected to develop an innovative, externally-funded and internationally-competitive research program; supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in immunology; and participate in service to the department, university, and academic/scientific community.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a research program in immunology
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in immunology
  • Participate in service to the department, university, and academic/scientific community
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a PhD, postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of research achievements and publications in the field of immunology. They will also have a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, to create a welcoming community for all, particularly those who are historically, persistently or systemically marginalized.
