Pharmacy Relief Pharmacist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Relief Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patients' needs
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly and proactive manner
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues
  • Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy
  • Provide ongoing training for new and existing pharmacy colleagues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills
  • Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy systems
