Engineering Team Lead

The Brandt Group of Companies is currently seeking an Engineering Team Lead to oversee the development and implementation of our tillage platform. This position will be responsible for managing, designing, and planning projects, as well as estimating and mitigating technical and business risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Create and manage high-performing engineering teams to deliver projects to internal customers.
  • Design and Development: Develop and mentor high-quality design staff to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical and business risks related to the engineering design of products.
  • Project Planning: Develop design concepts and directions for project teams to create long-term profitability of the platform.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for field issues as necessary, working closely with customer support teams.
  • Business Development: Identify areas for improving cost, quality, feature offerings, and other business metrics to inform business development leads.
  • Research and Development: Conduct field research as required to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualifications: Professional Engineer or Technologist with 5+ years' experience.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience in relevant design and design tools.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience with project management and/or leading other technical staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Product Knowledge: Extensive product/project knowledge in the platform area.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Work Ethic: Excellent work ethic.
