Shop Coordinator

Modern Niagara is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shop Coordinator to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our production operations team, you will work closely with forepeople to manage schedules, materials, and ensure smooth workflow for our piping and sheet metal projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Update production schedules and forecasts with guidance from forepeople
  • Monitor production lead times and coordinate with internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain TSSA binders for plumbers, fitters, and refrigeration technicians
  • Assemble fabrication packages for field installation
  • Maintain shop material tracking logs and stored material/equipment logs
  • Support with piping meeting minutes and production budgeting
  • Work on production flow, metrics, and software process review
Requirements:
  • 2-year business or technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in industrial, fabrication, or machine shops or manufacturing industry
  • Proficient computer skills and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Organized and detail-oriented with willingness to learn
