Job Title: Licensed Mechanic

Ryder is seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our team. As a Licensed Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, including Cummins, Detroit, Freightliner, International, Volvo, GMC, and Ford.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work.
  • Overhaul and replace assemblies and components as required.
  • Diagnose and repair emission after treatment components and related sub-systems.
  • Perform alignment procedures and adjust as necessary.
  • Diagnose and repair steering components for wear and/or damage.
  • Diagnose and repair suspension and chassis components.
  • Diagnose and repair air leaks.
  • Perform all entry-level tasks, road test vehicles as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Permit provincial or interprovincial of mechanic apprentice (in progress).
  • Conscientious for safety, aptitudes for working in a safety-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of technical documentation, supplier bulletins, and latest equipment.
  • Master all tools of the trade, knowledge of shop equipment, electrical tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Good computer skills, reliable, team-oriented, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Availability and flexibility for day, afternoon, and weekend shifts.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Good physical condition.
