Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at OEB Breakfast Co. Ambleside. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy breakfast service.
  • Requisition Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure we have the necessary resources to deliver exceptional service.
  • Supervise Kitchen Staff: Lead and train a team of 3-4 staff members to ensure they are equipped to prepare and serve high-quality food to our customers.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and coaching to staff members to ensure they are knowledgeable about our menu, food safety procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Estimate Ingredients: Accurately estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and submit reports on stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions and optimize operations.
Work Environment:

As a Food Service Supervisor at OEB Breakfast Co. Ambleside, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment
Work Term:

This is a permanent position with a 35-40 hour work week.

Work Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
